Just last week we had an estate sale managed by Linda Moore at Estate
Mates. Linda thought of everything, and it was such a relief to deal
with someone who knew all the ins and outs, had all the contacts, etc.
She and her helpers turned what seemed like an overwhelming amount of
“stuff” into an attractive and inviting house of treasures. Linda was
able to recognize and value individual pieces of worth and contact the
right buyers for them. She was able to price everything else so that
it moved out of there to people who could enjoy it, which was the main
thing important to us. On top of that, we made a lot more money than
we hoped for, and Linda was just a pleasure to work with. I’ve heard
of people who were not happy with their estate sales, so I was
pleasantly surprised. We have already received our check for our
portion of the sales.

Hi Linda and Richard ~

I always love your sales and it was so nice to come out to the lake
this weekend. I wanted to let you know how much I love the 1948
Singer sewing machine. (In case you had any doubts!) Would it be
possible to pass a message to the family? I’d like them to know how
much it meant to me to find that machine, and that I feel honored to
have it. I can tell it was really well loved and cared for, and was a
prized sewing machine. I grew up with a machine just like it and
learned how to sew on a big, black electrified Singer sewing machine.
My mom used it to sew all of our Halloween costumes, school projects
and summer clothes, and she swears by her machine to this day. I know
what solid pieces of machinery these old Singer’s are. Please let the
family know their mom’s/grandma’s Singer went to someone who is really
going to really love this machine, take good care of it, and put it to
use. If I went looking for a machine just like it, I could have spent
6 months trying to find it and not been able to. I know how hard
transitions can be for the families you work with and I just want them
to know I’m honored to have the sewing machine.

I appreciate your sales and all the hard work you do for families
going through transitions. Always looking forward to your next event!
